August 25, 2026, Ramallah – Palestinian Prisoner support organizations, the National Campaign to Retrieve Martyrs' Bodies, and national forces reiterate their call for broad public participation tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, in the national events commemorating the National Day for the Recovery of the Bodies of Palestinian and Arab Martyrs held by the Israeli occupation, which falls on August 27 of each year.

The organizations, the campaign, and national forces emphasized that broad participation in these events represents a clear expression of popular and national solidarity with the families of the martyrs and embodies the commitment to their legitimate right to recover the bodies of their loved ones and bury them in a manner befitting their human and national dignity.

The national campaign, along with national institutions and forces, reiterated that broad participation is not merely attendance at an event, but rather a unified national stance and support for the families of the martyrs who continue to endure the pain of loss and the bitterness of waiting. It is also a clear message that the issue of the martyrs' remains will remain present in the public and national consciousness, and that our people will not accept their continued detention, nor will they allow this crime to become a normalized reality or an imposed fact over time.

The campaign emphasized that the issue of the martyrs' remains is not just a matter for families awaiting their sons, but a matter of national rights and human dignity. Recovering the martyrs' remains and uncovering the fate of the missing and forcibly disappeared constitutes a national and humanitarian responsibility, and a steadfast demand that cannot be relinquished or extinguished by the passage of time.

It affirmed that this right will remain until the last body is recovered, the fate of every missing person is revealed, and the suffering of the families who have been waiting for their sons for years is brought to an end.

Therefore, the prisoners' institutions, the National Campaign, and the national forces call upon all our people to participate widely in the planned events, in loyalty to the martyrs, in support of their families, and to renew the pledge that their names will not be forgotten, and that their right to dignity, burial, and the return of their remains will remain a unifying national cause.
